A Dresser for a Princess

This is one of my favorite dressers.  It is a nice soft pink that fits perfectly in my little girls room. When it started it was an orange brown monster with some crazy base piece at the bottom that was like 2 inches longer on each side than the dresser.  Needless to say, that piece was removed.  My husband actually picked this pink out.  You never realize how many shades of pink (or any other color) there are until you go to the store and are bombarded with choices.  This one turned out perfect.  The drawer pulls were are surprise find at Goodwill but originally came from Target. I love those deals!

The color is Behr Poetic Princess.  It is finished with Minwax Finishing Paste, I like the softness that it lends to the piece, and then topped with Minwax Wipe-On Poly in Satin.  The top is stained with Minwax Jacobean and finished with Minwax Wipe-On Poly in Satin.

About Me

My photo
Growing up we never realized that we could make or change our furniture. Now that we are old and grown..ha..we realized that you can do anything you want to do. We like finding an old battered piece of furniture and seeing what we can make of it. We find joy in the journey and love seeing our pieces go to someone who loves them. Our house is slowly changing to whatever we want it to be and we are loving seeing the transformation.
